MPUH Library is located on the ground floor of Block B.
UHG Library is located on the ground floor of the Old Nurses’ Home.
Library services and resources in both locations are available to HSE West hospital based staff and all HSE staff working in Galway, including staff working in community or integrated care settings, as well as students on clinical placement.
The library provides support for research, continuing professional development, education and supporting patient care by providing best practice evidence. Library staff aim to add value through knowledge, to deliver safe, effective, person-centred care. Library staff are available to assist with queries and sourcing materials in relation to patient care and health services.
MPUH:
Within the main library there are spaces for study, work etc. The separate computer room contains 7 networked PCs.
GUH:
In the main library there are several PCs, along with study desks, and study booths. A separate study room with PCs and study desks is also available. This room is accessible outside of library opening hours.
Wifi is available in both locations, along with printing, scanning and photocopying facilities.
