About The Library

Connolly Hospital Library is available to all staff in the hospital and to students on clinical placement. It is also available to HSE staff working in the community or integrated care settings in North Dublin city and county.

The Library is located on level 1 of the Academic Centre. 


As well as the main Library, access is provided to a 24/7 study room with access to PCs on both the HSE and RCSI networks. Wifi is also available.

Library staff provide support for research, continuing professional development, education and supporting patient care by providing best practice evidence.

Connolly Hospital Library Quick Guide


  • View and renew your books online: Login to the library catalogue and you can view details of all the items you have on loan, renew items and place holds
  • Self registration: if you do not have a library account you can self register using the online form
  • Update your own details: If you have changed address or email you can change this on your catalogue record. We are also asking our users to login check the data and terms and conditions box on their accounts to agree to the information we hold on them in the library management system
  • Get your password: to access these features use the ‘login to your account’ box on the right side on the catalogue home page. If you haven’t logged in before, choose ‘forgot your password’ then add your login which will be firstname.lastname and your email address and a temporary password will be emailed to you which you can change once logged in
