Help Desk and LAMA Online Assistant Services

You can stay in touch and get library support through our online support services; LAMA and Help Desk Chat.

Ask LAMA

Our Online Assistant LAMA (Library Ask Me Anything) is available on the website 24/7 to answer simple questions about library services and access. You can also use LAMA to perform a search for articles (by entering ‘search eLibrary in the search box), to search BMJ Best Practice for symptoms and treatments (enter a disease term and LAMA will search in BMJ best practice) or search Medicines Complete (enter a drug term and LAMA will send your search to Medicines Complete).

Ask LAMA using the chat box on the bottom right of the screen.

If you need to chat with one of our library staff, our staffed help desk is available twice daily Monday to Friday.

Help Desk Chat Sessions

If LAMA can’t answer your question, you can chat with members of our virtual desk team during live virtual desk hours.
